What great pictures your plants are so bright and beautiful. That is a big pile of mulch did you get it all spread out? I only have a small flower garden and a small vegetable garden so only need a few bags of mulch a year.
This is one of my own photos from last season. I thought that it captured how I have been feeling during the early morning hours as of late. We don't have any Gerber Daisies planted yet this season. Perhaps we'll get a chance to get some in the ground this year.
My husband and I feared that we got too much mulch as soon as we dumped this load out of the truck (10 yards!!!). Fortunately we purchased just the right amount. We have three fairly large beds in the front yard as well as five smaller beds surrounding some large trees. After mulching these beds and the bed that surrounds our house, we have just enough to be able to cover the bed around the back deck. We only mulched one of the front beds last year, so we were left to "guestimate" how much we'd need this season. This is our second summer living in our house, so we are really enjoying all of the outdoor jobs.
